As The XXXVIIIth Congress of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP) is coming soon (October 12-15), we are contacting you again with some new  information on this important event which Will take place for the first time in Brazil.

There are already 1.100 registered pathologists and 738 accepted abstracts which will be published in a special issue of the “HISTOPATHOLOGY” journal.

Up to September 20,  the registration fees as follows Latin American pathologist= US$550; Speaker= US$ 35o; Delegate= US$ 700 Not Pathologist= US$370. These values are significantly lower those of previous similar meetings.

The Educational IAP Committee, with the support of the IAP divisions worldwide, has awarded 57 bursaries to pathologists from underdeveloped countries who will present abstracts in the Congress.
The opening ceremony will be at Sala São Paulo, an important musical cultural center of São Paulo city and the closing dinner with be in the Transamerica Hotel, with typical Brazilian music.
